Sunriver Oregon; and the Oregon Coast
Garrett and I arrived after a LONG Drive to Sunriver on a bright Saturday at around 1:00 p.m. We were excited to finally see little Eden for the first time!! She is so precious. We hung out with My mom and the Reynolds on Saturday. Sean and Mara came on Sunday afternoon with their adorable kids. We had so much fun just spending time biking and hanging out with the kids. Some of us had the chance to go horseback riding. Katelyn’s horse really smelled! My horse both smelled and ate everything. So I was surrounded by wonderful scents all around. It was fun. Garrett, Ben, and Dale went biking down the Paluna Plunge, they really have guts. They all had a great time with that as well as fly fishing. I really enjoyed Thursday afternoon floating down the river with the whole family, minus Sommer and Eden who we missed. It was wonderful weather and the kids loved it, but maybe Kesley had different feelings? Just kidding.
On Friday morning Garrett and I traveled along the Oregon coast and visited the Sand dunes which I haven’t been to since I was very little. It’s a huge beach that is desolate and beautiful. It’s by far my favorite stop on the coast. We stopped at the sea lion caves and we both loved that. You take an elevator way down 200’ were you can view a huge cave where sea lions live. We camped at a beautiful forested campsite on the coast on Friday night, and went to a really good seafood place for dinner. We went along the beach at Newport which had black/Carmel color sand. On Saturday we met up with my parents and drove further north along the Oregon coast to Seaside and we went around the shops and the beach and drove later that night to Portland. Sunday we went to “ The Original Pancake House” for breakfast. They have the most overwhelming breakfast menu, however amazing. Then we went to see the Portland temple and after drove to the Rose Gardens, It’s really beautiful and very crowded with tourists. The city of Portland is a fun city to walk around Later we quickly visited with grandma and robyn and mike stewart. We took mom and dad to a great german restaurant Garrett heard it was great, and it was! We all loved it! The next morning at 6:00 am we started our trek all the way home. WE MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
