New Prague, Minnesota

Posted

During Memorial Day Weekend, we had the opportunity to fly over to Minnesota to spend some much needed time with mom and dad! We were fortunate to have squeezed many different activities into this trip. We arrived late Wednesday night, and were able to see their new home in New Prague. It is absolutely beautiful both inside and out! They have a nice pond behind their backyard, and little geese with their mothers floating along.
It’s a small and pleasant town.

Thursday, we had the chance to travel north to Duluth, where we stayed overnight at a quant motel along Lake Superior. It is a beautiful place to get away, and discover some new things. While we were there, Thursday we went to a lighthouse, and drove along the shore of the Lake. While heading back from Duluth to mom and dads home, we stopped in St. Paul, to check out the science museum. We all really enjoyed it, and had fun together. On Saturday, dad and Garrett took a day trip to go off fly fishing. It was fun for them, while I had a great time with mom. Sunday we went to their branch in New Prague, and enjoyed meeting some of the members. After we had a picnic and just enjoyed hanging out in their home. Monday, my parents took us sightseeing during the day, and in the afternoon had the chance to stroll through famous Mall of America. We then said our goodbye’s and hopped on the 9:00 pm flight to Salt Lake.
